VOCABULARY
MORE VOCABULARY ABOUT MOVIES
We like to see our favourite actors playing a character – even a minor character (ACTOR SECUNDARIO)– in films, whether these are in lead roles (PAPELES IMPORTANTES) (=main roles), or supporting roles (PAPEL SECUNDARIO) (not main roles). We like reading the film credits (CRÉDITOS), to see who's in the cast (REPARTO) (everyone who acted in the film).
Then we like to see who the director (DIRECTOR) or producer (PRODUCTOR) is, the screenwriter (GUIONISTA) who wrote the screenplay (GUIÓN)(the script that the actors speak) and who composed the soundtrack (BANDA SONORA) (the music background in the film). We'll find out more about the plot (ARGUMENTO)(or storyline) and how good the cinematography (CINEMATOGRAFÍA)(art of shooting the film) or costumes (VESTIMENTA) are. We might even watch a trailer (TRAILER) (short extract from the film) to see the special effects (EFECTOS ESPECIALES).
